the holy kiss

Pictured above, the Holy Kiss, who have a 7" coming out (finally, I've waited for years, no kidding!) on GSL Records. One doubts that they'll ever leave the safe recesses of baroque and gloomy Southern California, but I'm desperately hoping that something will give and they'll end up touring over this way.

April is faring up to be an eventful month for shows, and after a near 3 month hiatus from musical activities of most sorts (with the exception of attending every Wolf Parade show), I'd say it's as good a time as I'm going to get to jump back into the fray.

Montreal soirees!

April 03 Weird War, FFF @ El-Salon (4388 St. Laurent)
April 06 The Rapture, The Starlight Desperation @ Le Spectrum
April 13 TV On The Radio, Controller.Controller, Alexis O'Hara @ El-Salon
April 16 AIR @ Metropolis (59 St. Catherine St. East)
April 23 The Chinese Stars, the Sick Lipstick (now broken up?) @ El-Salon
April 23 Rufus Wainwright @ Metropolis
April 24 KRAFTWERK @ Metropolis (THIS SHOW IS SOLD OUT)

GoGoGoAirheart have wrapped up recording their next album, the follow-up to the spectacular "EXITHEUXA." I assume it'll be released by GSL, as well.

Vancouverites might want to consider braving the swarms of Kelly Osborne lookalikes (or possibly even the real thing) and youngsters with no knowledge of The Sacred Works of Ian Svenonius to catch the opening act, LA's Moving Units, when the International Noise Conspiracy comes to town. Angular guitar lines, octave bass work and excessive high-hat work and all that.
Monday April 12 Vancouver, BC Commodore Ballroom 19+ Moving Units supporting The (International) Noise Conspiracy
