Yesterday at ConU, met with a surprise when I found a tanned and sinewy Alden Penner of the Unicorns walking down the hallway. Alden was in town to attend court (charges stemming from an incident last year in Edmonton that had him doing hard-time in Frozen Texas), and was returning the same day (the charges were dropped) to Florida, where the Unicorns are resting up and drinking all the left-over alcohol from spring break before heading on another tour... No west coast Canadian dates, but in April they'll be playing two shows with Blonde Redhead in Toronto and Montreal...
